Police are seeking public assistance after a number of incidents that occurred in the South Brisbane District early yesterday morning that is believed to be linked.
The first incident occurred at 2 am when a black Holden Commodore Station Wagon was stolen from an address in Mount Gravatt by an unknown group of men.
The man in this incident is described as being Asian in appearance, in his early 20s, around 168cms tall with a slim build and was last seen wearing dark clothing and red shoes.
The second incident occurred when officers received a call after a man jumped from the stolen vehicle at the Darra Railway Station at 5.30am and ran up the stairs before wrestling with a woman and attempting to steal her handbag.
She was treated at the scene and her injuries aren't considered serious.
